I first discovered Kapulet a few months ago. I was scrolling through my Facebook feed (liking and reacting many dog videos, I'm sure) and once again, a sponsored ad popped up with the title "Want $15 worth of free beauty products." Ummm, yes, please.
Much like any other time I click on a sponsored link, offering free gifts, I straight away question the legitimacy of their site. But let me tell you, Kapulet is legit and it's incredible.
This is a site dedicated to giving you luxury brands that are cruelty-free, featuring brands like Mario Badescu, KMS, Dermalogica - this list goes on.
Conveniently I was in need of skins care products, and I've always wanted to try Mario Badescu, so I decided on their seaweed toner and glycolic eye-cream. I also added Dermalogica's Precleanse, an HG product that I haven't used in years.
I signed up and checked out, using their code Kapulet15 (they always have codes for first timers, do a little google search), and it was a steal (below the $40 mark).
My products arrived in a few days, and they were perfect. There's nothing much to report on the packaging, somewhat bland.
What's important to note is when you sign up and hand over your credit card details, this is a subscription service, so the next month you will be charged the yearly amount of $59. This is the first time I've taken part in paying up front for a year and I actually kind of like it. For the next year, instead of waiting for sales on my skincare of makeup brand of choice, I have access to a sale portal, every day.
After purchasing the silver powder, acne serum, and seaweed moisturizer, Mario Badescu has taken over my bathroom. Next up, I want test KMS beauty.
Only negative is that you do have to pay for shipping, which I can understand if you total is low, but when you are subscribing for the year, shipping should be free.
Keep a lookout for a Mario Badescu review.
